Sorcerers were common in the culture of ancient Egypt (Exodus7:11; Isaiah 19:3). We also see sorcery in the kingdom of Babylon,especially in association with King Nebuchadnezzar (Jeremiah 27:9;Daniel 2:2). Sorcery is an attempt to bypass God's wisdom and powerand give glory to Satan instead. God has no tolerance for sorcery.In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, sorcery is listed among the sinfulpractices of the nations surrounding Israel. God calls it anabomination: 'There shall not be found among you . . . anyone whopractices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or asorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one whoinquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is anabomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORDyour God is driving them out before you.'

-- Addiction is Satan's way of making you weak. his way ofmaking you impure ( or so he thinks ) in god's eyes. But if youdesire sobriety. God will show you the way. Anyone that tells youthere is no spiritual effects to being high or drunk is alreadylost and are trying to lead you to follow them.

If you believe you have a soul, then read this. The Bible saysDrug use is sorcery. And Sorcery is of Satan. the Spiritual effectsof using drugs will condemn you into the Abyss. God will disownyou. That is a very serious spiritual effect.
